October 2026 Updates: Up to 2.5x More Minutes, New Voices & Billing in Your Dashboard

We moved your receptionist to new AI voice technology this month. It costs us much less to run, so we put the savings into your plan: every plan now includes far more call minutes and transfer minutes at the same price, and Business goes from 400 to 1,000 minutes a month. The new voices hold their accents more steadily, and they come with a new voice picker where you can hear every voice before you choose it. Billing moved into the dashboard too. Nothing changes on your bill, and the extra minutes are already on your account.

October 2026 AI Receptionist updates - four plan cards showing minutes rising to 75, 100, 350 and 1,000 a month at the same price

Far More Minutes on Every Plan, Same Price

Here is what each plan includes each month now, compared with before:

  • Essential: 75 call minutes (was 60) and 40 transfer minutes (was 30)
  • Starter: 100 call minutes (was 60) and 50 transfer minutes (was 30)
  • Solopreneur: 350 call minutes (was 200), 175 transfer minutes (was 100) and 175 texts (was 100)
  • Business: 1,000 call minutes (was 400), 500 transfer minutes (was 200) and 500 texts (was 200)

That is 2.5 times the minutes on Business, 75% more on Solopreneur and 67% more on Starter. Your price has not changed, and the new limits apply to your current plan automatically. If you ever run past them, extra minutes are still $0.25 each with a Booster Pack, and they never expire.

Two features also moved down to every plan. Google Calendar booking is now on Essential as well, so your receptionist can schedule appointments straight into your calendar on the $14 plan. And transfers to your own phone system over SIP work on every plan now; they used to need Business. The full plan-by-plan breakdown is on the pricing comparison page.

A New Voice Picker with Accents

Because your receptionist now runs on new voice technology, its voice may sound slightly different from the one you chose before. Take a minute to listen to it on the AI Personality page in your dashboard. If it is not quite right, pick another one: the page has a new voice picker where every voice gets its own card with a short description, a few words on what it is best for, and a play button, so you hear it before you commit.

The new AI Receptionist voice picker: cards for each voice with a play button, personality tags and an accent selector for American, Canadian or British

Each voice comes in an American, Canadian or British accent, and the new technology keeps that accent steady through the whole call instead of drifting partway through. Changing the accent takes effect on your next call, with nothing else to save. Some voices also have samples in other languages, so you can hear how your receptionist sounds to a caller who speaks Spanish, for example.

The new technology also opens the door to custom voices. Soon we will be able to build a voice just for your business, from a recording or from a written description. If that interests you, reply to any of our emails and we will let you know when it is ready.

Fun Voices for a Playful Brand

The voice picker has a new Fun voices section with ten character voices, including a 1940s Announcer, a Cajun, a Cowboy, a Detective, Dracula and Grandma. A BBQ joint, a vintage shop or a costume store can now have a receptionist that sounds the part. Press play on any card to hear it, and switch back whenever you like.

Manage Your Plan Without Leaving the Dashboard

Everything to do with your plan is now on the Subscription page. Switching plans shows you exactly what you will be charged today, including any credit left from your current plan, before you confirm, and your renewal date stays the same. Canceling takes effect at the end of the billing period, so you keep full access and your phone number until then, and a Resume button undoes it if you change your mind.

The AI Receptionist Subscription page: change plan with the exact charge shown before confirming, cancel, update payment method, and billing details and tax ID

A new Invoices card lists every receipt with a PDF download for each, and you can update your billing address and tax ID in the same place. No more detour through a separate billing portal.

Faster Sign-In and a Faster Website

Your first sign-in after verifying your email is quicker, and the sign-in page now tells you plainly when the problem is a wrong email or password. Our website and help pages load faster too, and the help page's knowledge base section now lists which file types you can upload.

If your receptionist's new voice is not quite right, or you would like help setting up calendar booking or connecting your phone system over SIP, reach out and we will walk you through it. Not using AI Receptionist yet? Every plan comes with a 7-day free trial, no credit card needed, and the new minute allowances apply from day one. As always, thank you for your continued support.
